About the Service

No building or structure shall be used or occupied wholly or partly without first obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy from the Building Official where the subject building or structure is located. A Certificate of Occupancy shall be issued by the Building Official after final inspection and submission of requirements and if the building or structure conforms with the requirement of the Code and its IRR.

Documentary Requirements

When applying for Occupancy Permit, submit Four (4) sets of the following:
    

  1. For One (1) Storey Building
    1. Certificate of Completion ( duly accomplished and signed and sealed by Architect / Engineer)
    2. Fire Fund Fee Official Receipt ( from the Fire Department)

  2. For Two (2) Storey and up Building
    1. Certificate of Completion ( duly accomplished and signed and sealed by Architect / Engineer)
    2. Fire Fund Fee Official Receipt ( from the Fire Department)
    3. Construction Logbook (signed and sealed by Architect/Engineer)

Pursuant to Section 203, Subsection (4) of the P.D. 1096 which authorized the Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways to prescribe and fix the amount of fees and other charges that the Building Official may collect in connection with the performance of its regulatory functions, the attached Schedule of Building Permit Fees and other charges is hereby promulgated to form part of the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of P.D. 1096, otherwise known as the National Building Code of the Philippines.

NEW SCHEDULE OF FEES AND OTHER CHARGES
Certificates of Use or Occupancy (Table II.G.1. for fixed costing)

  1. Division A-1 and A-2 Buildings:
  2. i Costing up to P150,000.00 P100.00
    ii Costing more than P150,000.00 up to P400,000.00 P200.00
    iii Costing more than P400,000.00 to P850,000.00 P400.00
    iv Costing more than P850,000.00 up to P1,200,000.00 P800.00
    v Every million or portion thereof in excess of P1,200,000.00 P800.00
  3. Divisions B-1/E-1, 2, 3/F-1/G-1, 2, 3, 4, 5/H-1, 2, 3, 4/and I-1 Buildings:
  4. i Costing up to P150,000.00 P200.00
    ii Costing more than P150,000.00 up to P400,000.00 P400.00
    iii Costing more than P400,000.00 to P850,000.00 P800.00

  7. Division J-I Buildings/structures:

    iv With floor area above 1,000.00 sq.meters P480.00

  9. Division J-2 Structures:
  10. i Garages, carports, balconies, terraces, lanais and the like: 50% of the rate of the principal building, of which they are accessories.
    ii Aviaries, aquariums, zoo structures and the like: same rates as for Section 10.d above.
    iii Towers such as for Radio and TV transmissions, cell site, sign (ground or roof type) and water tank supporting structures and the like in any location shall be imposed fees as follows.
    (a)First 10.00 meters of height from the ground P800.00
    (b)Every meter or fracton thereof in excess of 10.00 meters P50.00
  11. Change in Use/Occupancy, per sq. meter or fraction thereof of area affected        P5.00
